2019 Summer Activities

Saturday, June 15th | 1 pm

Excursion to the Fullerton Pond. Distance: 3 km on Fullerton Road which is relatively flat terrain. Information will be given on the timber trade industry circa 19th century.  Meet at the Missisquoi -Nord, André-Gagnon Park. Car pooling will be necessary.

Permission pass to have access to the Appalachian Corridor trails is mandatory. It may be obtained at the tourist office located at 291 rue Principale (former CIBC Bank) with identification proof of residency. Non-Potton residents have to pay $5. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm, 7 days a week.

Following the event, there will be a BBQ at Carol’s place, 52, Hilmar-Krausser. Cost $10 ; bring your own beverage.  Reservations: Carol  450-292-4844, before June 1st 2019.

Sunday, September 1 st | 1 pm

Enjoy camaraderie at the Vale Perkins  wharf while enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Memphremagog. Seasonal corn will be offered. Bring a dish and your beverage. Reservations:  Janine 450-292-3780.

Saturday, October 19 th | 2 pm

Excursion to Vale Perkins in the immediate vicinity of Chemin du Lac and Peabody Road. Guided tour of some archaeological sites with Gérard Leduc; visit Jones Cemetery with Sandra Jewett, who will tell the story of the families who were buried there. Rendez-vous and parking on Peabody Road, near Lake Road.

After the excursion, picnic at Sandra, at 279 Peabody. Bring your snack, your favorite drink and a folding chair.
